Port Valdez and Valdez Narrows Security Zone Changes Proposed

The US Coast Guard is proposing to revise its security zone regulations relating to Port Valdez and the Valdez Narrows. Among other things, the change would include more accurate position information for the boundaries of the security zone around tank vessels navigating on the Valdez Narrows Optimum Track Line and establish when the Valdez Narrows Tanker Optimum Track Line is activated and subject to enforcement.
