Salvage Association Opens in Houston

The Salvage Association (a trading style of BMT Salvage Ltd.) has established an office in Houston to provide full marine and offshore consultancy services, the resident surveyors being Robert Hoppell and Allan Schultz. The services include project risk management, all types of surveys, including hull and machinery, cargo, P&I, draft and bunker surveys, pollution response, collision investigation and speed and angle-of-blow surveys. Houston will also act as a focal point for offshore energy business being canvassed by the experienced SA staff. The office is located at 9835 Whithorn Drive, Houston, tel. (281) 858 8090, fax (281) 858 8898, e-mail houston@wreckage.org In the same premises is a sister company, BMT Scientific Marine Services (BMT SMS), which provides technical expertise in a wide range of offshore and coastal engineering services, including full-scale trials, instrumentation, naval architectural and engineering services. Apart from Houston, Salvage Association surveyors serving the US Gulf region and Latin America are located in Miami, New Orleans, Panama and Santiago (Chile). BMT Salvage and BMT SMS are members of the British Maritime Technology group.
