Transport Secretary Opens CNIS System

The Coastguard station at Langdon Battery, Dover was officially reopened on May 12 by Transport Secretary, Rt Hon. Alistair Darling MP after installation of a new CNIS system by Norcontrol IT. The system, worth over £1m created for the UK’s Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA), included the CNIS Operation Room Workstations, Emergency Planning Workstations and a Training Simulator facility.
