The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has launched a West Coast Diesel Initiative, intended to reduce diesel emissions in states on the Pacific coast. Among the projects cited in the release is a plan for certain cruise ships docking in Seattle to hook up to
shore power.
