Dubai Maritime City (DMC), the maritime hub in the Middle East, is showcasing repair and maintenance capabilities at the Dubai International Boat Show March 13-17 at the Dubai International Marine Club, Mina Seyahi.

A dedicated yacht repair and maintenance division at DMC has progressively improved its capabilities over the years, having repaired over 61 vessels in 2011, and has several sophisticated and high-value jobs to its credit.

“We propose to address niche markets, such as high-end yacht repair and maintenance, through our facility in DMC,” said Khamis Juma Buamim, Chairman of Drydocks World and Maritime World. “The diversification of our portfolio has helped us cater to a wide clientele. Our participation has helped establish relationships with well-known players in this sector, both at the regional and international levels.”

Dubai Maritime City has 6000- and 3000-tonne ship-lifts, a 700-tonne boat hoist, and a Sealift 2 floating dock for lifting yachts and motor boats weighing up to 50 tonnes. In addition, workshops, warehouses and ship repair plots are available on lease to companies which can take advantage of the facilities available at the city in close proximity to the commercial and trading hub of Dubai, UAE.
