W&O Europe Named a Tube-Mac Distributor

W&O Europe, a global supplier to the marine and marine offshore markets for pipe, valves and fittings, valve automation and engineered solutions, has entered into a new partnership with original equipment manufacturer Tube-Mac Piping Technologies. The distribution agreement names W&O Europe as the official distributor of Tube-Mac’s PYPLOK product in Belgium, the Netherlands, Luxembourg (also known as Benelux) and Turkey for the marine industries.

“The agreement with Tube-Mac is an opportunity for W&O Europe to partner with an organization that provides high quality products and shares our commitment to exceptional customer service,” said Kristof Adam, Managing Director of W&O’s European operations. “We have numerous shipyards that have shown interest in implementing this new technology into their facilities.”

The PYPLOK connecting system is a weld-less, thread-less method to join pipe. Using a portable, hand-held installation tool, couplings are cold worked and permanently compressed onto the piping, forming a permanent leak-tight seal in operating pressures up to 9000 PSI (620 Bar). The technology is unique to PYPLOK Mechanically Attached Fittings. The product line includes a wide range of pipe schedules, metric tubes and OD inch tube wall thickness, and can be applied to various materials such as stainless steel, carbon steel and copper nickel.

The use of the Tube-Mac PYPLOK connecting system provides numerous benefits to ship owners and operators. The sealing process, known as “swage,” eliminates the extensive requirements and costs of hot work, such as a welder, hot work permits, fire watch personnel, flushing and purging, gas freeing and radiography. Repairs and installations can be made safely, quickly and easily with the PYPLOK System, minimizing the length of shutdown periods.
