Maritime Careers Day - Flyer

The Malta Maritime Careers Day will see the participation of three eminent international entities in its first year of staging. These will be ICOMIA - the International Council of Marine Industry Associations, SNAME - The Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers - based in Virginia, U.S. and the IMO International Maritime Law Institute.

The objective of the Malta Maritime Careers Day is to bring together professionals, educators and leading industry players to discuss and encourage the improvement in academic and practical training for the common benefit of interested students, the industry in general and Malta’s economic sustainability. Another primary aim of the event is to increase visibility among students and parents of the career opportunities in this industry.

The Malta Maritime Careers Day, to be held at the Grand Hotel Excelsior on September 4, is being hosted by Wilfred Sultana & Associates (WSA) publishers of Yachting in Malta. The organizers will be also involving various panelists from the local and the international maritime arena to discuss and debate the various topics on the agenda.

The event is presented under the Distinguished Patronage of the Hon. Joe Mizzi, Minister for Transport and Infrastructure and of the Hon. Evarist Bartolo, Minister for Education and Employment. Both Ministers will be addressing the ‘Day’.

Since 2009 Wilfred Sultana & Associates (WSA) has organized three international seminars on the super yachts industry and Malta. This was done with the collaboration of the International Superyacht Society, the Professional Yachting Association and the Mediterranean Yacht Brokers Association with Transport Malta providing the local alliance. WSA were also responsible for a pre-election yachting industry forum in 2013.

WSA are organizing the Maritime Careers Day 2014 in collaboration with Transport Malta and Tug Malta together with a team of Associate Partners made up of the Mediterranean Maritime Research & Training Centre (MMRTC), Melita Marine Group, Falzon Group of Companies, Grand Hotel Excelsior, Malta Motorways of the Sea Limited (A company of Grimaldi Group), Tanti-Dougall & Associates Advocates, Palumbo Group S.P.A., Wilhelmsen Lines Malta Ltd, AML-Atlantis Management Ltd, TTS Personnel Ltd and the Grand Harbor Regeneration Corporation plc.
