US Navy Awards Maintenance Contracts

The Pentagon last Friday announced that nine companies have been awarded contracts for repair, maintenance and modernization of U.S. Navy’s non-nuclear surface ships homeported or visiting the Northwest United States.The total value of the multiple award contract is a combined $944 million. The scope of work is for continuous maintenance, emergent maintenance, and Chief of Naval Operations availabilities, which are short-term or less than 10-months in duration.The nine companies are East Coast Repair & Fabrication…

WRSystems Wins MSC Equipment Contract

W R Systems, Ltd., Awarded Contract for Military Sealift Command N00033-12-C-8011 for USS PONCE (LPD 15) Bridge. W R Systems, Ltd., (WRSystems), of Norfolk, VA, has been awarded a contract with Military Sealift Command (MSC) for the design, installation, commissioning, and testing of new electronic equipment of the bridge onboard USS PONCE (LPD 15). The USS PONCE bridge electronics transition team, led by WRSystems, consists of:  J&L Marine Electronics – Portsmouth, VA; Delphinus Engineering Inc.

New Navy Contract

Tecnico Corp., Chesapeake, Va., (N65540-09-D-0033); AMSEC, LLC., Virginia Beach, Va., (N65540-09-D-0029); BAE Systems San Diego Ship Repair, Inc., San Diego, Calif., (N65540-09-D-0031); Delphinus Engineering Inc., Eddystone, Pa., (N65540-09-D-0030); General Dynamics Information Technology, Fairfax, Va., (N65540-09-D-0032); Q.E.D. Systems, Inc., Virginia Beach, Va., (N65540-09-D-0029), are each being awarded an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, cost-plus-fixed-fee multiple award contract for engineering and technical services on hull, mechanical, electrical and electronic systems and equipment onboard U.S. Naval Vessels. The dollar value for all six contracts combined is $455,163,385.

Delphinus Engineering Gets Contract

Delphinus Engineering, Inc., Eddystone, Pa., is being awarded a $25,722,926 indefinite-delivery and indefinite-quantity, time and materials contract for engineering and technical services relative to shipboard fire protection and survivability upgrades. Work will be performed in Norfolk, Va. (40 percent); San Diego (40 percent); and Eddystone (20 percent), and is expected to be completed by June 2007. Contract funds in the amount of $35,000 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured and advertised in the Commerce Business Daily, with 22 proposals solicited and three offers received.
