Marine fires have been some of the toughest fires for anyone to fight. Whether it’s a fire on your own boat, or a vessel you are escorting or working with you will need to know what you are doing if you wish to operate safely. Marine Firefighting Inc. has been training mariners as well as land-based firefighters to deal with all types of marine fires for more than 17-years. Much of our mariner training dealt with work boats built with powerful firefighting pumps and fire monitors used to deal with liquefied natural gas (LNG) ships and offshore facility fires.

PGS has recently completed the fifth consecutive acquisition season offshore Newfoundland and Labrador as part of the ongoing joint venture (JV) with TGS. The successful 2015 season was the biggest yet with PGS operating four vessels, two 3D and two 2D vessels, all of them equipped with GeoStreamer, PGS' broadband technology. This season marked the commencement of the first MultiClient 3D programs to be acquired by the JV, as well as continued building of the regional MultiClient 2D library coverage. * Most 3D seismic ever acquired in a single season offshore Newfoundland and Labrador. Aker Solutions has won a contract from Det norske oljeselskap to conduct a front-end, engineering and design (FEED) study for the Draupne field on the Norwegian continental shelf. The study will be carried out by Aker Solutions' newly established engineering office in London, and delivered to the license partners in Q4 2012. The contract value is undisclosed. "I am very pleased that Det norske has decided to follow on the pre-FEED contract with the award of the topsides FEED contract for the Draupne development. The Draupne pre-FEED was the first contract awarded to the re-established Aker Solutions engineering entity in London. The new award confirms the successful build-up of our London office," said Valborg Lundegaard, executive vice president and head of engineering in Aker Solutions.
