Chembulk Tankers to Join Womar

Chembulk Tankers signed commercial management agreements for its entire fleet of owned and chartered stainless-steel chemical tankers to enter commercial pools managed by Womar Logistics. “Chembulk’s commercial shift to the Womar chemical pools places our quality vessels in an established and growing revenue sharing platform, providing commercial efficiencies, logistics flexibility and a seamless continuation of the performance our customers expect from Chembulk vessels," said Bart Kelleher, CEO, Chembulk. "All other ownership responsibilities will remain fully within Chembulk.”Together with several current Chembulk chartering and operations professionals, the fleet will transition to commercial management by Womar.

LR Appoints Papageorgiou as M&O President

Lloyd’s Register (LR) has appointed Elina Papageorgiou as its new Marine and Offshore President for UK and Ireland, commencing on April 1, 2020.Papageorgiou has held a variety of roles across North and South Europe in sales, marketing and finance functions since joining LR in 2004. Most recently, she led LR’s Marine and Offshore sales teams in 11 different countries across South Europe.Papageorgiou graduated with a BSc in Economics from Brunel University and has an MBA from Imperial College London.

Global Maritime Makes Two Hires in Asia Pacific

Global Maritime, a provider of marine warranty, dynamic positioning and engineering services to the offshore sector, has made two important hires to support its Asia Pacific (APAC) operations. Mei Ling Chan has been appointed as Regional Finance Manager for APAC where she will take responsibility for finance functions and reporting across the region; and Leong Weng Yoon has been named Global Maritime’s new HSEQ Manager for APAC. Leong Weng Yoon’s appointment reaffirms Global Maritime’s commitment to the highest health, safety, environmental and quality standards across its operations.

Rowan Appoints Butz CFO

Rowan Companies (NYSE: RDC) appointed Stephen M. Butz as Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer, effective December 1, 2014.     Butz joins the company from Hercules Offshore, Inc., where for the past nine years he has served in various corporate development, treasury and finance functions, most recently as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer.  Butz also has more than 10 years' experience in commercial and investment banking.   Butz will take over from Kevin Bartol, whose resignation was previously announced and is effective as of November 30, 2014.

Eiliv Gjesdal Appointed CFO of Kvaerner

Eiliv Gjesdal has been appointed Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Kvaerner. Gjesdal is following the appointment of Jan Arve Haugan as President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Gjesdal joined Aker Solutions in 2002 and has extensive experience from finance functions in Aker Solutions as well as a background as a state authorised public accountant. Gjesdal startet his carreer as an auditor with Arthur Andersen & Co working with large Norwegian companies. "We are very pleased with being able to appoint a CFO of Gjesdal's stature and experience to the management team of Kvaerner.

Metropolitan Stevedore Announces Two Appointments

Metropolitan Stevedore Co., West Coast general and bulk cargo contract stevedore and terminal operating company, recently announced the appointments of vice president and chief financial officer John R. Hampton and controller Phillip Poggi. Hampton, who holds an MBA from Pepperdine University, began his career with Metropolitan 1993 as its maintenance manager. In his new position, Hampton will be in charge of all the company’s financial reporting, including its subsidiaries Pacific Warehouse Company, Metro Risk Management LLC, Destination Pier 35, Trona Export Terminals, LLC ( a joint venture), and will oversee Metro’s human resources. Hampton will report directly to President and CEO James Callahan.

Halloran Joins A&B

Kevin L. Halloran has joined Alexander & Baldwin, Inc. as director, corporate finance and investor relations. In this newly created position, he will be responsible for a variety of corporate finance functions, including communication with the investment community and oversight of corporate development activities. Halloran will report to A&B's Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer Christopher J. Benjamin. Halloran earned a bachelor's degree in economics from Colgate University and completed the Bankers Trust Management Training program, a year-long, MBA-level management training in accounting, corporate finance, international banking and risk assessment and management.
