Bibby Marine Appoints Samuels as CEO

Dubai Water Canal Project Contract for Parsons-Halcrow JV

The Parsons/Halcrow Joint Venture (JV) informs it has been selected by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) for the construction supervision of the Dubai Water Canal Project. The JV, whose initial scope of work, awarded in December 2006 was for design, has now been awarded the next phase of the project. Fetter New Director of Halcrow Navy Programs

Halcrow announced the addition of Robert Fetter, PE, CAPT, CEC, USN (ret) as director of navy programs for Halcrow in North America. In this newly created position, Fetter will be responsible for building upon Halcrow’s relationship with the U.S. Navy and its engineering operations. Fetter is a retired Civil Engineer Corps captain who brings more than 25 years of Navy facilities management and capital improvement experience to Halcrow. He has extensive federal acquisition experience with a proven track record of team building, process improvement, and cost savings. His expertise is wide-ranging and includes skills in the areas of, project management, planning and asset management, facilities management, energy efficiency/sustainability, and investment strategy.

Lucci Regional Manager, Halcrow

To enhance the maritime business group’s presence in Latin America, Guillaume Lucci has been named regional manager for this region. In his new role, Lucci will be responsible for Halcrow's maritime business development and operations throughout Mexico, Central and South America, and the Spanish-speaking Caribbean. He will act as the firm's single-point of contact for all maritime related activities in Latin America and he and his team will provide local support for the maritime business group's growing list of clients in this region. Lucci will be able to expand Halcrow’s maritime practice in the region by building on the firm’s strong regional presence.

Final Designs, King Abdullah Sea Port

Emaar, the Economic City (Emaar.E.C), the Tadawul-listed company developing King Abdullah Economic City (KAEC), has revealed the final blueprints of the KAEC Sea Port, designed in coordination with Halcrow, the international consultancy specializing in the provision of planning, design and management services for maritime projects. One of the six key components of the 168 million sq m KAEC, the Sea Port will be the largest in the Red Sea with a capacity to handle 20 million TEU (twenty ft equivalent container units).
