Rolls-Royce Naval Marine Expands Foundry

Rolls-Royce Naval Marine Inc. broke ground today for the expansion of its foundry in Pascagoula, Mississippi. The new facility will enhance manufacturing capabilities and improve production efficiency across a range of Marine propellers and submarine propulsors. "The expansion of this facility demonstrates our commitment to our customers," said Patrick J. Marolda, President, Rolls-Royce Naval Marine Inc. "We wanted to provide better products faster -- to be better able to compete -- and upgrading and streamlining our manufacturing in this facility allows us to do just that. The leading-edge, 18,000 square foot facility will have a number of unique features.

Rolls-Royce Appoints New President, Defense North America

Rolls-Royce announced the appointment of Dennis J. Jarvi as President, Defense North America. He will join the company on July 12 and will lead the company's defense business in North America, succeeding Steve Dwyer, who was appointed Chief Operating Officer of Rolls-Royce Corporation earlier this year. Mr. Jarvi will report directly to James M. Guyette, President & CEO, Rolls-Royce North America Inc. and, as a member of the company's global defense executive team, receive business direction from Colin Green, President - Defense Aerospace, Rolls-Royce. Rolls-Royce Appoints New President for Naval Marine Inc.

Rolls-Royce announced the appointment of Patrick Marolda as president of Rolls-Royce Naval Marine Inc. effective immediately. In this role, Marolda will develop and implement the North American business strategy for the Rolls-Royce Naval Marine business. He will be based at the Rolls-Royce Naval Marine Inc. headquarters in Walpole, Mass., with an additional office in Chantilly, Virginia, corporate headquarters for Rolls-Royce North America. He will report to James M. Guyette, President and CEO, Rolls-Royce North America as part of the North American management structure and receive business direction from David Price, managing director, Rolls-Royce Naval Marine.
