ABS Nautical Systems Expands in the Middle East

ABS Nautical Systems has signed a contract with Arina Offshore (Fze) for use of its NS5 Enterprise software, marking the fourth new customer win in this region. The Dubai based company which specializes in vessel chartering and brokerage will utilize the Maintenance Manager module on one of its offshore vessels through the ABS Transfer of Class Agreement (TOCA) Initiative*. The TOCA Initiative offers free software to any vessel that transfers class into ABS. Arina Offshore (Fze) also will implement the Purchasing & Inventory module from the NS5 software suite on two additional vessels. These modules give Arina Offshore (Fze) the ability to proactively monitor maintenance trends as well as streamline purchasing, budgeting and inventory processes.

ABS Nautical Systems Wins Two International Contracts

ABS Nautical Systems Nets Two New Clients. ABS Nautical Systems has signed a contract with Samson Maritime Ltd. for the use of its NS5 software. Located in Mumbai, Samson Maritime Ltd., owns and operates a fleet of offshore supply vessels, maintenance tugs and workboats. Samson Maritime Ltd. has chosen to implement the Maintenance & Repair, Hull Inspection and Drawings Management modules as offered through the ABS Newbuild Program, which provides these modules free for the first year to all ABS-classed vessels built before 1 January 2009.

Humboldt First in Latin America to Implement NS5 Software

Humboldt Shipmanagement Ltda. Becomes First in Latin America to Implement ABS Nautical Systems’ NS5 software to a Tugboat Fleet. Formosa Plastics Marine Selects ABS Nautical Systems

ABS Nautical Systems announced that its fully integrated asset management software suite NS5 has been selected for trial by Formosa Plastics Marine Corp. (FPMC), part of the Formosa Plastics Group - the only privately owned Taiwan oil refinery and the second largest gasoline and gasoil producer in Taiwan. This new relationship marks the entry of ABS Nautical Systems into the Taiwan market and continues its expansion throughout Asia. FPMC will evaluate several modules from the NS5 software suite through the ABS Newbuild Program including Maintenance & Repair, Hull Inspection and Drawings Management. When making a decision to assess ABS Nautical Systems’ offerings, FPMC was particularly interested in the software’s capability for class integration with the ABS Eagle Survey Manager program.

ABS Nautical Systems Expands in Dubai

ABS Nautical Systems announced that they have been selected as the fleet management software provider of Dubai company Stanford Marine, LLC a provider of offshore marine support services. ABS Nautical Systems’ work with Stanford Marine marks continued expansion in Dubai, with several companies now using the NS5 software suite in the Emirates. Stanford Marine is changing from a paper and Microsoft Excel system to ABS Nautical Systems’ software suite NS5, a fully integrated system to allow for a more streamlined approach to fleet management. Stanford Marine will implement the Maintenance & Repair and Vessel Drawings modules on a total of 25 vessels, all of which are classed with ABS.

ABS Nautical Systems Grows

ABS Nautical Systems, one of the leading providers of integrated fleet management software for the maritime industry, announced another year of record growth in 2010. ABS Nautical Systems signed 83 new clients with a combined total of 1053 vessels overall. In the month of December, 18 new customers were signed – a number that roughly equates to a new contract signed daily. New clients signed across the globe include Chevron, Reederei Offen, Hapag-Lloyd, Donnelly Tankers Management, Nereus Shipping, Fleet Management Ltd., NAVSEA and Arab Maritime Petroleum Transport Company. ABS Nautical Systems opened new offices in Vancouver and Shanghai in 2010 to better serve each region, and will be announcing three additional openings in the spring of 2011.

ABS Nautical Systems, the world’s fastest growing provider of fleet management software, hosted its 2010 Annual User Conference, Oct. 12-14, 2010 in Vancouver BC, Canada. The conference hosted approximately 150 industry professionals from more than 50 maritime companies, who learned about the new functionalities and enhancements offered in ABS Nautical Systems’ technology suite NS5. ABS NS Strengthens Management Team

ABS Nautical Systems has added four senior executives to lead the firm’s growth globally and to better serve its customers. Thomas Blenk has been appointed Vice President of Global Operations for ABS Nautical Systems based in Houston. Blenk, a veteran of ABS with over 12 years of experience in both classification and operations, oversees the account management and consulting teams and is overall responsible for implementation of the NS5 software suite for customers worldwide. Previously, Blenk was Country Manager, United Arab Emirates for ABS, and brings international expertise in directing complex state-of the-art marine projects. Brad Achorn has been appointed to the ABS Nautical Systems management team as Regional Vice President, working in the Piraeus office.

ABS Nautical Systems NS5 Update

ABS Nautical Systems, provider of integrated fleet management software, announced the release of 5.5, an upgraded version of the NS5 suite of fleet management software modules. ABS Nautical Systems Donates Software to Panama University

ABS Nautical Systems (ABS NS) donated its NS5 Fleet Management Software to the International Maritime University of Panama (UMIP). The donation includes the Maintenance & Repair, Purchasing & Inventory, Crew Management, Quality & Compliance and Replication Manager modules of the NS5 software suite. The modules will be woven into the existing student courses as real-world examples, thus giving students exposure to the software throughout their educational program. “Our curriculum is designed to prepare future officers for the practical challenges they will face throughout their maritime careers," says Acting President for the university Victor Luna. “Our students will now experience first hand the management programs already in use on thousands of vessels," he adds.
