APL launches New Zealand Express II Service

APL launched a new weekly service with direct connection between New Zealand and North Asian ports: the New Zealand Express II (NZ2) service. “APL introduced the new NZ2 service to serve the China-New Zealand market in a direct and more efficient way. Compared to transshipment options, the NZ2 service provides our customers with dedicated and faster connectivity between the North Asia and Oceania markets. New Rotation of CMA CGM Joint Service Unveiled

CMA CGM S.A. (CMA CGM) announced the rotation of its new service in cooperation with China Shipping Container Lines (CSCL), Orient Overseas Container Lines (OOCL) and Pacific International Lines (PIL), in the North East Asia, Australia and New Zealand Trade, commencing from Shanghai in early November 2014. Liebherr Grows New Zealand Market Share

A recent order from the Port of Lyttleton is the latest in a series of contracts that has seen Liebherr Container Cranes expand on an already significant presence in New Zealand’s North and South Islands, the company said. The Port of Lyttleton’s most recent order for a super post panamax ship to shore crane and four straddle carriers, will see the number of Liebherr straddle carriers in the Port of Lyttelton grow to eight and brings the total number of ship to shore cranes at the port to three.

Maersk Deliver Antarctica 'White Gold' to Europe

The 'white gold' is in the form of deep ice cores taken for scientific research from the south polar region for delivery to a Belgian university. The sensitive shipment required global collaboration across several Maersk Line teams.
