Canadian offshore services company Horizon Maritime has signed on to support a dive mission to explore the wreck of the Titanic.OceanGate Expeditions, the crewed submersible exploration company leading the mission, selected the multipurpose offshore support vessel (OSV) Horizon Arctic to serve as the surface support vessel for the expedition scheduled to take place later this year.The RMS Titanic shipwreck lies approximately 2,500 feet below the ocean's surface, about 370 miles off the coast of Newfoundland, Canada.

Ulstein Verft subsea newbuild Island Performer was built for Island Offshore to be a flexible, RLWI/IMR vessel, destined to serve its first five years for FTO in the Gulf of Mexico. “The vessel is customized to suit the scope of work in the FTO contract, in which RLWI (Riser-less Light Well Intervention) and IMR (Inspection/Maintenance/Repair) are the main tasks. St. John’s NL - Atlantic Towing Limited (ATL), a global marine service provider based in Atlantic Canada, has announced the addition of the Atlantic Raven – a 14,400 hp UT 722 Offshore Supply Vessel. The Raven is the second offshore supply vessel to be added to the ATL fleet this year. The 75m x 18m vessel, with four diesel engines and an oil recovery system will further support ATL’s existing and future contracts for customers in the offshore exploration and production industry. “Our customer base is growing and this acquisition is part of our strategy to grow with them,” said Wayne Power, Vice President of Irving Transportation Services. The vessel will arrive in St. John’s Newfoundland on August 5th to begin work in the North Atlantic.
