PetroVietnam University (PVU) joined the Intergraph Education Grant Program. PVU is located in the offshore oil and gas hub of southern Vietnam, and was established to focus on the development of the country's oil and gas industry. The Vietnamese university recognized that it needs to equip its students with the necessary skills and knowledge so that they are ready to apply the tools that employers already use when they join the work force. PVU will provide its students with access to SmartMarine Enterprise solutions, including SmartMarine 3D, SmartPlant Review, SmartPlant Instrumentation, SmartPlant Electrical, SmartPlant P&ID and SmartSketch. Intergraph's ruled-based technology features unique automation capabilities, which was a compelling factor in PVU's decision.

Brazilian joint venture will use SmartMarine® Enterprise components for project with oil giant Petrobras. Tome Ferrostaal, a joint venture between Tome Engenharia and Ferrostaal in Brazil, has selected Intergraph® SmartMarine® Enterprise solutions, distributed by Sisgraph, as part of a project with Petrobras, one of the world's largest energy companies. Intergraph's enterprise engineering software will be used to construct the topsides of six identical floating, production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessels, which will be built in Brazil. Sisgraph, based in Sao Paulo, Brazil, has been a distributor of Intergraph solutions in South America for more than 30 years. Intergraph and Sisgraph are part of Hexagon.

Intergraph® SmartPlant® Enterprise selected by operator, Inpex, to manage information for mega-project, Ichthys LNG. Inpex has implemented SmartPlant Enterprise solutions for the Ichthys LNG Project, including SmartPlant Enterprise for Owner Operators (SPO) as its information management system, SmartPlant 3D and SmartMarine® 3D (collectively known as Smart 3D), SmartPlant Instrumentation, SmartPlant P&ID and SmartPlant Electrical. The Ichthys LNG Project is a joint venture between Inpex and Total, Tokyo Gas and other participants. Gas from the Ichthys field, in the Browse Basin approximately 200 kilometers offshore Western Australia, will undergo preliminary processing offshore to remove water and extract condensate.

The competition is open to all SmartPlant® Enterprise and SmartMarine® Enterprise engineering design software users and the subject matter must relate to the process, power, offshore or shipbuilding industries. WorleyParsons received "Best of Show" for its intricately detailed view of a process facility produced using SmartPlant 3D, SmartPlant P&ID, SmartPlant Review, SmartPlant Electrical, SmartPlant Instrumentation and SmartPlant Foundation.

The information management solutions suite will provide GDF SUEZ with a long-term fully integrated system for engineering and operations. GDF SUEZ E&P UK, a growing competitor in the United Kingdom North Sea oil and gas production sector, has recently adopted the full Intergraph® SmartPlant® Enterprise engineering suite, including SmartMarine® 3D. The information management, plant operations, electrical, instrumentation, and 3D design solutions will be used in operations on the Cygnus gas field, a major GDF SUEZ E&P development project, which sanction is targeted mid-2012.

DORIS Engenharia Ltda. Chooses Intergraph® SmartMarine® Enterprise Solutions for Brazilian FPSO Projects. SmartMarine 3D is being used in front-end engineering design phase, also specified for detail design. DORIS Engenharia Ltda., the Brazilian subsidiary of France's DORIS Engineering and a specialist in the offshore oil and gas industry, has chosen Intergraph® SmartMarine® Enterprise solutions to design the topsides of eight floating, production, storage and offloading (FPSO) units for global energy leader Petrobras. The eight FPSOs will be used for pre-salt layer exploration.

Petrovietnam Marine Shipyard Joint Stock Company (PV Shipyard) has standardized on Intergraph® SmartMarine® 3D as its preferred 3D offshore engineering and design solution. Intergraph has recently signed a five-year contact with STX Europe. STX France Solutions has purchased SmartMarine® Enterprise, hoping to improve its shipbuilding design efficiency and quality. The agreement includes Intergraph SmartMarine 3D® and SmartPlant® Foundation, SmartPlant® P&ID, SmartPlant® Instrumentation, SmartPlant® Electrical Basic & Detailed, SmartPlant® Materials, SmartPlant® Foundation, SmartPlant® Review and SmartPlant® Review Publisher.
