NTSB Outlines Desired Safety Improvements

November 13, 2007

The National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB) issued a statement noting that its two most wanted safety improvements in the marine sector are: (1) a reduction in accidents and incidents caused by human fatigue and (2) an enhancement of recreational boating safety. The NTSB acknowledges that the Coast Guard is working on the first issue, but that progress has been slow. The recreational boating safety issue requires action by the various states.
