Richard A. Mueller named John P. Dooley President of Choice Ballast Solutions, LLC. Working in close cooperation with ballast water systems suppliers and vessel owners, Dooley will be responsible for the overall management of the Choice commercial marine business activities, providing ballast water treatment systems integration from survey to signoff. Choice services include surveys, engineering, drawings, project management, equipment commissioning and startup and service. He will be located in Cleveland, Ohio and report directly to Mueller, CEO of Choice.

Prior to Choice, Dooley held numerous executive‐level leadership positions in the commercial maritime, offshore oil & gas, process control and manufacturing industries. Dooley has 33 years of international sales and marketing experience. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Baldwin‐Wallace College with a degree in International Marketing. He also holds a diploma from the International Negotiation and Management Executive Program. Dooley’s most recent appointment was VP of Sales and Marketing for Compass Water Solutions, providing IMO‐certified pollution prevention equipment and water treatment equipment.

“The importance of Choice is to eliminate a critical bottleneck for makers and vessel owners in the ballast water market,” said Dooley. “Choice will continue to invest in our personnel and assets to ensure that essential services are available where needed as the ballast water treatment market ramps.”
