MTU to Supply 16 Gensets for Rolls Royce Design OSV's
Tognum to supply 16 marine gensets with MTU Series 4000 engines as part of Rolls-Royce UT-OSV design for 4 new CDL OSV's. Tognum will deliver 16 MTU marine generator sets with 12V 4000 M23S Ironmen engines for four Rolls-Royce UT 771 CDL offshore supply vessels (OSV) to be built at COSCO (Zhoushan) Shipyard Co. Ltd. in China. The gensets are part of a £26 million Rolls-Royce order to provide an integrated design, power and propulsion and equipment package.

Markey Fills Out Electric Towing Winch Line
As the new year begins, Markey Machinery is preparing a new TES-40-75HP electric towing winch for shipment that will be installed on Harley Marine Services new Z-drive ship assist tractor tug “M/V Robert Franco”. The first item of two suites of deck machinery specified by Harley for both the “M/V Robert Franco” and its’ sister, the “M/V Ahbra Franco”, the TES-40-75HP towing winch also fills out Markey’s electric towing winch line which now covers wire sizes between 1-1/4” through 2-1/2”.

Markey Equipment Selected For New Canadian Super Ice Class Tugs. Markey Machinery is pleased to announce that it has been awarded the order for a complete suite of deck machinery for the most powerful Harbor Class Tugs ever to be built in Canada. The tugs will be operated by Group Ocean of Quebec, Canada for harbor operations, ship escort services, short and long distance towing, as well as rescue operations and wreck removals.
PMS 1386: First of Two RAstar 3200 Tugs
PM Coast Maritime Pte. Ltd. completed sea trials of PMS 1386, the first of two RAstar 3200 tugs to be built by its own shipyard in Singapore. The RAstar class of tugs is intended for operations in exposed areas such as many new LNG terminals where a high standard of sea-keeping is required. With Fi-Fi 1, oil recovery and escort notations, this particular vessel is able to fulfill a wide variety of duties in adverse conditions.

CCGS Vladykov – First of Three New Canadian Near-Shore Research Vessels
The CCGS Vladykov is the first of three new Near-Shore Fisheries Research Vessels to be delivered to the Canadian Coast Guard. Commissioned in August 2012, the vessel was constructed at Meridien Maritime Inc. in Matane, Quebec to a design developed by Robert Allan Ltd of Vancouver, B.C. The CCGS Vladykov and its sister vessels will conduct scientific research in the Newfoundland and Labrador region.
Rolls-Royce to Design, Power, Brazilian OSV's
Rolls-Royce wins a £24 million order to design & equip four platform supply vessels (PSVs) for Brazilian ship owner Bravante Group. The UT 775 SE PSVs are designed to carry deck cargo, pipes and diesel oil to and from offshore oil and gas platforms. They will be chartered by Petrobras. Bravante Group will build the vessels at their ship yard in Niteroi, Brazil, as they have done for previous orders.
MHI Receives Order for NYK Line
