SeaPro FourStroke Making Gains in the Commercial Market
Mercury Marine’s family of SeaPro FourStroke outboard engines is suited for high-hour applications and harsh environments, according to the manufacturer, who said the engines are gaining popularity within the commercial marketplace. The line’s latest commercial marine endorsement comes from TowBoatUS, operator of more than 600 boats in the U.S., who is investing in Mercury SeaPro outboards on some of its fleet, including one vessel in Ft. Myers, Fla.
New Norsafe Boat with Diesel Outboards Debuts
Norsafe launched a new boat, the Marathon 900 RIB, the company's first RIB complementing an already wide range of boats for professional and military customers. The Marathon 900 RIB was demonstrated with two newly developed Mercury outboard engines that can run on diesel fuel. Mercury OptiMax Diesel Outboard, which was developed for the U.S. Armed Forces, is a 3.0 liter V6 engine that produces 175 propshaft horsepower.
Norsafe Debuts New RIB in Gothenburg
Norsafe has released its first RIB, the Marathon 900, to compliment its range of boat models for professional and military customers. Damen Unveils Next Generation RHIB

Mercury Marine produces 75,000th Verado L6 Outboard
Milestone comes less than 10 years after launch of platform. Mercury Marine, the world leader in commercial and recreational marine propulsion and technology, has produced its 75,000th Verado L6 outboard engine. The Verado six-cylinder was first launched in 2005 and covered 200 to 275hp; the Verado family now includes up to 300hp outboard engines. Mercury Marine has manufactured more than 15 million engines since the company was founded in 1939.
