CSSC Wins 2 Survey Ships Order

On June 16th, Shanghai Shipyard Co., Ltd. under CSSC and COSCO (Guangdong) Shipyard received 3 survey ships order.

The 3 ships include 2 comprehensive physical survey ships and 1 comprehensive geophysical survey ship. The 2D six cable physical survey ship designed by the No. 701 Research Institute of CSIC and built by Shanghai Shipyard Co., Ltd. is mainly used for the investigation operation of 2D seismic. The 3D six cable physical survey ship designed by Marine Design & Research Institute of China and also built by Shanghai Shipyard Co., Ltd. is a comprehensive physical survey ship that holds the capability of collecting and dealing with the data at the 3D seismic site and measurement of ocean gravity, magnetic and water depth etc.

The comprehensive geophysical survey ship also designed by the No. 701 Research Institute of CSIC and built by COSCO (Guangdong) Shipyard is mainly used for geophysical drilling with water depth and drilling depth of 600m.
