AGL signss renewable energy offtake agreement for Western Australian unit

Posted to Maritime Reporter on October 29, 2025

AGL, an Australian energy company, announced on Thursday that it had signed a long-term power purchase deal with Tilt Renewables. This is the first wind-energy contract for AGL's Western Australian division.

AGL has agreed to purchase 105 MW, or the expected generation of Waddi Wind Farm onshore from Tilt for 15 years.

The financial details of this deal have not been disclosed.

AGL Chief commercial officer David Moretto stated that the PPA for renewable energy will diversify AGL Perth Energy's portfolio and allow them to offer more products to their customers in Western Australia.

The Waddi Wind Farm in Western Australia, currently under construction, will begin to supply power in 2028.
