The Liberal government of Canada pushed through on Thursday a bill that allows the cabinet to expedite federal approvals for large industrial projects, such as mines and ports, despite concerns from opposition. It passed a crucial committee stage.

Canada's Competition Watchdog urges the federal government, in order to improve competition, to allow foreign-owned airlines to operate domestic routes.

Ontario Capital Markets Tribunal has ruled that David and Natasha Sharpe of Bridging Finance were ordered to pay more than C$27 Million ($19.68 Million) in damages for defrauding their investors.
