GFSA reports that Saudi Arabia has issued a tender for the purchase of 655,000 metric tonnes of wheat.
General Food Security Authority announced on Thursday that Saudi Arabia had issued a tender for 655,000 metric tonnes of wheat to be shipped between August and October 2025.
European traders expect the price offer results to be available on Monday, 19 May.
A tender sent to traders by the agency requested that 11 consignments of wheat with 12.5% protein be sourced from optional sources.
The shipment will be divided into different ports. 240,000 tons of the cargo will arrive in Jeddah between August 15 and November 15.
Traders said that about 240,000 tons of grain was to be shipped to Yanbu for arrival from August 15 to October 15, 120,000 tonnes to Dammam, for arrival from August 15 to September 30, and another 55,000 to Jizan to arrive in the first half October.
