European traders claim that Jordan's state grain purchaser is not believed to have purchased any barley in the international tender for animal feed barley, which closed on Tuesday.

Traders said that three companies participated in the bid: Viterra Olam and Agrocorp.

Traders said that a new tender for Jordanian feed barley, requesting the same shipment period in October and November and closing on July 16, is expected in the coming days.

They said that Jordan would also issue a tender in the coming days for 120,000 tonnes of wheat for shipment during October and November, also closing on 15 July after passing its previous tender of wheat on Tuesday. Michael Hogan, Reporter
