The state grain buyer of Jordan has announced an international tender for up to 120,000 tons of milling whey that can come from a variety or origins. European traders confirmed this on Wednesday.

The deadline for submitting price offers is September 16.

Traders had expected a new announcement after Jordan failed to purchase 120,000 tons wheat in its previous tender on Tuesday.

The new tender seeks to ship 60,000-ton consignments in various combinations during the periods October 16-31; November 1-15; November 16-30, and December 1-15.

The same shipping periods were sought in the tender on Tuesday.

Jordan has also released a separate tender for the purchase of 120,000 tons animal feed barley, which closes this Wednesday. (Reporting and editing by Tomaszjanowski, Michael Hogan)
