Jordan Issues Tender to Buy Up to 120,000 Tons of Wheat
The state grain buyer of Jordan has announced an international tender for up to 120,000 tons of milling-wheat, from which the origin can be chosen, European traders reported on Wednesday.
The deadline to submit price proposals in the tender is August 19
Traders had expected a new announcement after Jordan failed to purchase 120,000 tons wheat in its previous tender on Tuesday.
The tender seeks to ship consignments between 50,000 and 60,000 tons in any combination of the dates October 1-15, 16-31, 1-15 November, 16-30.
The same shipping periods were requested as in the tender on Tuesday.
Jordan also published a separate tender for 120,000 tons animal feed barley. The tender closes on Wednesday. (Reporting and editing by Jane Merriman, Michael Hogan)
