Jordan offers to purchase up to 120,000 tonnes of wheat, traders claim
Jordan's national grain buyer issued an international bid to purchase up to 120,000 tons of milling, wheat that can come from any origin, European traders reported on Monday.
The deadline to submit price offers for the tender is Tuesday July 1.
The traders had anticipated the announcement, after Jordan failed to purchase 120,000 tons wheat in its Tuesday tender.
The new tender seeks to ship a number of consignments ranging from 50,000 to 60 000 tons between September 16-30 and October 1-15.
Jordan also published a separate tender for 120,000 tons animal feed barley. (Reporting and editing by Vijay Kishore, Michael Hogan)
