Jordan purchases approximately 60,000 metric tonnes of wheat at tender, traders claim
HAMBURG - Jordanian's state grain buyer bought about 60,000 metric tonnes of hard milling in a Tuesday international auction. The wheat was sourced from optional origins.
They said that it was estimated to have been purchased from Cargill for $262.50 per ton, cost and freight included.
The following trading companies also participated in the tender on Tuesday: CHS $265.90; Bunge $273; Ameropa 272.47; and Cofco 267.11.
The reports reflect the opinions of traders, and it is still possible to estimate prices and volume later.
On Wednesday, a separate bid from Jordan for 120,000 tons animal feed barley closes. Michael Hogan, reporting from Hamburg and Louise Heavens, editing.
