Jordanian traders report that Jordan has bid to purchase 120,000 tons of feed barley

Posted to Maritime Reporter on October 30, 2025

European traders reported on Thursday that Jordan's state grain buyer had issued an international tender for the purchase of up to 120,000 tons of animal feed barley.

The deadline to submit price proposals in the tender is 5 November.

Traders had expected a new announcement after Jordan failed to purchase 120,000 tons barley in its previous tender on Wednesday.

The new tender seeks to ship consignments ranging from 50,000 to 60,000 tonnes between December 1-15, December 31, 2025 and January 1-15, January 16-31 2026.

Jordan has also released a separate tender for the purchase of 120,000 tons milling wheat, which closes on November 4. (Reporting and editing by Tomasz Janovowski, Michael Hogan)
