The state grain buyer of Jordan has announced an international tender for up to 120,000 tons of milling-wheat, from which the origin can be chosen, European traders reported on Wednesday.

The deadline to submit price proposals in the tender is 29 July.

Traders had expected a new announcement after Jordan failed to purchase 120,000 tons wheat in its previous tender on Tuesday.

The new tender seeks to ship consignments between 50,000 and 60,000 tons in any combination of the following dates: September 16-30, 1-15 October, 16-31 October, 1-15 November.

On Wednesday, a separate tender for the purchase of up to 120,000 tonnes of animal feed barley from Jordan will also be closed. Michael Hogan is reporting, Sharon Singleton is editing.
