Jordanian traders report that the country has issued a tender for up to 120,000 tons of wheat.
The state grain buyer of Jordan has announced an international tender for up to 120,000 tons of milling whey that can come from a variety or origins. European traders confirmed this on Wednesday.
The deadline to submit price proposals in the tender is 12 August.
Traders had expected a new announcement after Jordan failed to purchase 120,000 tons wheat in its previous tender on Tuesday.
The tender seeks to ship consignments between 50,000 and 60,000 tons in any combination of the dates October 1-15, 16-31, 1-15 November, 16-30.
Jordan also released a separate tender for 120,000 tons animal feed barley that closes on Wednesday. (Reporting and editing by Louise Heavens, Michael Hogan)
