Jordanian traders report that the country has issued a tender for up to 120,000 tonnes of wheat.

The state grain buyer of Jordan has announced an international tender for up to 120,000 tons of milling whey that can come from a variety or origins. European traders confirmed this on Wednesday.

The deadline to submit price proposals in the tender is 11 November.

Traders had expected a new announcement after Jordan failed to purchase 120,000 tons wheat in its previous tender on Tuesday.

The new tender seeks to ship 60,000-ton consignments in various combinations between January 1-15. January 16-31. February 1-15. and February 16-18.

The same shipping periods as those sought in the tender on Tuesday.

Jordan has also released a separate tender for the purchase of 120,000 tons animal feed barley, which closes also on Wednesday. (Reporting and editing by Michael Hogan)
