Kaztransoil reports that Kazakhstan exported 180,000 tonnes of oil via Druzhba to Germany in September.
Kaztransoil, the company that operates the Druzhba oil pipeline in Russia, reported on Thursday that Kazakhstan exported 180,000 metric tonnes of oil to Germany through this pipeline during September.
The company had previously stated that oil supplies to Germany reached 190,000 tonnes in August.
Kaztransoil reported that Kazakh oil exports via Baku-Tbilisi Ceyhan pipeline reached 18,000 tonnes last month. In September, Kazakhstan resumed oil exports via BTC after these exports had been suspended in August due to contamination concerns.
The pipeline company said that oil from the massive Tengiz oilfield will be shipped to Batumi Port in Georgia in October without specifying planned volumes of supply.
Tengizchevroil has declined to comment specifically on export plans.
Kazakhstan, the largest landlocked nation in the world, can bypass Russia and export its commodities via alternative routes.
Over 80% of Kazakhstani oil is exported via another pipeline, operated by the Caspian Pipeline Consortium. This pipeline connects Tengiz in western Kazakhstan with other fields to a marine port near Russia's Black Sea Port of Novorossiisk. (Reporting and Editing by Susan Fenton, Jan Harvey)
