Orsted sells Cathay 55% of Taiwan's wind farm
Orsted, a Danish offshore wind developer, has agreed to sell a 55% stake in its Greater Changhua II offshore wind farm in Taiwan. The deal is worth approximately 5 billion Danish crowns (788.74m).

Investor confidence is impacted by rising costs due to supply chain disruptions,?inflation and uncertainty caused by President Donald Trump’s anti-renewable energy stance.
The developer stated in a?statement that the transaction marked another important milestone in Orsted’s partnership and divestment program and further solidified the company’s capital structure.
Orsted said that it has signed an agreement with Orsted to?divestments' worth around 33 billion crowns in 2025.
The Greater Changhua?2 site consists of the Greater Changhua?2a wind project, which is presently operational and Greater Changhua? The Greater Changhua? The 2b project is currently being constructed.
