European traders reported that a South Korean flour mill purchased an estimated 30,000 tons of milling grain to be sourced in the U.S. at an international auction on Thursday.

The purchase included several wheat varieties, which were all purchased on a FOB basis. The tender requested shipment between November 1, 2015 and November 15, 2015.

The seller is believed to be CHS Trading House.

The buyers said that 7,200 tons soft white wheat with a maximum protein content of 9.5% to 11% were purchased at an estimated price of $232.67 per ton FOB.

The traders also said that 6,900 tons hard red winter grain with a minimum of 11.5% protein were purchased at $235.61 per ton, and 15,900 tonnes dark northern spring wheat with a minimum of 14% protein was bought at $258.67 per ton,

The reports reflect the assessments of traders. Further estimates on prices and volume are possible in the future. (Reporting and editing by Jan Harvey; Michael Hogan)
