European traders reported on Tuesday that the Feed Leaders Committee of South Korea (FLC) had issued an international tender for up to 138,000 tons of animal feed.

Also, the deadline for submitting price offers is Tuesday, November 25, 2018. Two consignments weighing between 52,000 and 69,000 tonnes each are expected to arrive in South Korea in March 2026.

The first shipment for an arrival on March 10 should be shipped between January 20 and February 18 if it is sourced off the U.S. Pacific Northwest Coast, December 31 to January 29 if it is sourced off the U.S. Gulf coast, or December 26-January 24, if the consignment comes from South America.

The second consignment, due to arrive around March 30, is expected between February 9 and 10 if it comes from the U.S. Pacific Northwest Coast, or from January 20 to February 18 if it comes from the U.S. Gulf. If coming from South America, the shipment should be made between January 15-February 13, otherwise from January 30-February 28, if coming from South Africa.

Sellers can offer up to 10 days of arrival earlier or later, depending on the desired dates.

The price offers will be in both outright and per ton terms, including freight (c&f), as well as a premium on the Chicago corn contract for March 2026. (Reporting from Michael Hogan, Hamburg; Editing Jan Harvey)
