European traders reported that Major Feedmill Group of South Korea (MFG) bought approximately 120,000 metric tonnes of soymeal at an international auction on Wednesday.

Two consignments of 60,000 tons were purchased to be sourced either from South America or the United States, or China.

One was bought from the trading house Olam for an estimated $335.98 per ton, including freight and surcharges.

A second consignment, valued at $336.93 per ton c&f (including a surcharge) was purchased from the trading house Cofco.

The bidders had hoped to arrive in South Korea between February and March of 2026. The reports reflect the assessments of traders, and future estimates of price and volume are possible. Michael Hogan is reporting.
