Posted to Maritime Reporter on November 11, 2025

HAMBURG (Germany), Nov. 11 - Taiwan’s MFIG buying group has announced an international tender for up to 65,000 metric tonnes of animal feed corn that can be sourced in the United States, Argentina Brazil or South Africa.

According to the sources, the deadline for submitting price offers is Thursday, November 13.

MFIG is seeking price offers for a consignment of yellow grain weighing 40,000 to 65,00 tons. The bids will be at a premium compared to Chicago corn futures.

According to traders, shipments are expected in 2026 if corn is sourced either from the U.S. Gulf coast, Brazil, or Argentina. If the corn is sourced from South Africa or the Pacific Northwest Coast of the U.S., then shipment will be between January 30 and Feb 18.
