Taiwan's MFIG wins corn tender of 65,000 tons, traders claim
European traders reported that the MFIG buying group in Taiwan did not make any purchases at an international tender which ended on Thursday for approximately 65,000 metric tonnes of animal feed corn. The lowest price was estimated as a premium cost and freight included of 206.90 U.S. Cents per bushel over the Chicago corn contract for May 2026.
CHS, a trading house in the United States, was said to be offering 65,000 tons corn.
The tender only included corn from the United States. Eleven trading houses offered 65,000 tons each.
The corn must be sourced in the U.S. Gulf region, Brazil, or Argentina.
The shipment should be sourced between 2 March and 21 March. Michael Hogan, reporting from Hamburg and editing by)
