The European traders reported on Thursday that a group of animal feed importers from Thailand purchased animal feed wheat with optional origins during a Wednesday-closed tender.

Although the exact volume was not known, traders believed that the purchase was near the 240,000 tonnes sought in the tender and all positions were said to have been purchased. The price was estimated to be in the low $200s per ton, cost and freight liner out. The seller was thought to be Bunge, a trading house.

The reports reflect the opinions of traders, and it is still possible to estimate prices and volume later.

For 2026, three consignments of 30,000 tonnes each were required for shipment during the months of February, January and March. Three consignments of each 50,000 tons for 2026 were sought in the months of May, June and April.

The wheat can come from any country, but not Russia, Brazil or Ukraine. (Reporting and editing by Michael Hogan, Hamburg)
