One presumed deceased and five still missing after tugboat sinks off South Africa

A multi-agency maritime agency said that one person was 'presumed dead' and five crew members were reported missing after a tug boat sank near South Africa’s southern coast. The ship sank around 80 nautical miles south-east of Mossel Bay, in South Africa's Western Cape province.

A boat crash on Congo's Lake Kivu has resulted in the recovery of 23 bodies.

On Thursday, Colonel Molatelo Motau of SADC's mission in Democratic Republic of Congo announced that 40 people were rescued and 23 bodies recovered following a boating accident on Lake Kivu. Video seen by showed the boat tipping sideways and then capsizing in calm water.
