AAM Launches 78' Catamaran Tour Boat
Shipbuilder All American Marine, Inc. (AAM) launched the first of two 78-foot aluminum catamarans for Seattle-based customer Great Western Attractions (GWA), who will operate the passenger excursion vessels in Puget Sound. The second vessel is on track to be launched in June.Designed by Teknicraft in Auckland New Zealand, these identical Subchapter T certified vessels were constructed at AAMâs 57,000 square foot facility on Bellingham BayâŚ

While most yards have been deemed essential to marine transportation and/or national security and have been able to maintain operations, the situation at and around every shipyard is different, and there are several builders across the country that have had to temporarily suspend activity.
AAM Takes Over Hydrogen Ferry New Build
All American Marine, Inc. (AAM) won a contract by SWITCH Maritime (SW/TCH) to complete the aluminum construction and outfitting of a 70-foot 84-passenger zero-emissions, hydrogen-powered, electric drive ferry that will operate in the California Bay Area (referred to as the âWater-Go-Roundâ project).Prior to transfer to AAM, the project had begun at Bay Ship & Yacht shipyard in Alameda, Calif. where the aluminum hull and superstructure had been started.

All American Marine, Inc. (AAM) announced it has won a contract to build a pair of quad-jet sister vessels to expand Seward, Alaska-based Major Marine Toursâ fleet of wildlife and glacier cruise vessels that visit Kenai Fjords National Park. These 87â x 32â Teknicraft Aluminum catamarans, will be certified USCG Subchapter âTâ for 150 passengers.These semi-displacement catamarans were developed by Nic de Waal of Teknicraft Design in Auckland, New Zealand.
AAM Wins Deal with Birdon America
All American Marine, Inc. (AAM) has been named the West Coast shipyard by Birdon America, Inc., for Phase I of a contract to perform a Service Life Extension Program (SLEP) on a number of United States Coast Guardâs (USCG) fleet of Motor Life Boats (MLB).AAM is currently working on two MLBs at its shop, with a plan to ramp up to eight MLB vessels each year during Phase II. Birdon America was awarded the prime contract to perform Service Life Extension work on all MLBs in the U.S.
Red and White and Green All Over
INSIGHTS: Thomas C. Escher, Chairman, Red and White FleetIn 1960, Tom Escher, the grandson of the founder and now the current owner, started working as a sweeper and a mechanics helper on the Red and White vessels. In 1997, Escher purchased the Red and White Fleet, becoming the third generation of the family to own and operate the business. In September 2018, Red and White Fleet welcomed Enhydra, the newest and largest addition to the fleet.
AAM launches 77-ft. RV for Duke University
All American Marine, Inc. (AAM) completed construction and launched an aluminum research and survey vessel for Duke University. The Duke University Marine Lab (DUML) is a hydrofoil-assisted catamaran from Teknicraft Design. Measuring 77 x 26.5 ft. the vessel is based on a pair of successful Teknicraft Design vessels AAM built for NOAA.The vessel is powered by twin Tier 3 CAT C18 âDâ ACERT engines, rated at 803 bhp/2100 rpm and providing a cruising speed of 24 knots.
AAM Delivers High-Speed Ferry to Kitsap Transit

AAM Delivers Fast Ferry for Kitsap
All American Marine, Inc. (AAM) has delivered the second of three low wake and high-speed passenger vessels for Kitsap Transit. The Reliance, an aluminum catamaran with a composite superstructure, was launched in Bellingham on March 6, 2019 and has been undergoing sea trials and wake-wash testing this past month.During these test periods and in a light laden condition, the crew observed the vessel capable of speeds in excess of 45 knots, over 50 mph.
Kitsap Transit's Hybrid-Electric Water Taxi
All American Marine, Inc. (AAM) built and launched a 150-passenger hybrid electric vessel for Kitsap Transit.The aluminum catamaran was designed by Glosten, Seattle, WA, and will operate during peak times on Kitsapâs Bremerton-Port Orchard or Bremerton- Annapolis routes.The 70 x 26 ft. USCG certified passenger ferry features an efficient aluminum catamaran hull, ADA access throughout the main deck, and twin BAE Systems HybriDrive propulsion systems driving fixed pitch propellers.
AAM Wins New Catamaran Contract
All American Marine (AAM), together with the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TWPD), has announced the signing of a contract for the construction of an 80âx 27â aluminum catamaran for operation in Texas State waters as well as offshore capabilities in the Gulf of Mexico. This vessel will be constructed at All American Marineâs new state-of-the-art 57,000 square foot facility on Bellingham Bay.

All American Marine Delivers Ferry to Seattle
All American Marine, Inc. (AAM) today announced the delivery of a new passenger ferry that will serve the city of Seattle. The vessel, MV Sally Fox, was dedicated at a ceremony on Vashon Island on Saturday. The Sally Fox is the first of two new ferries ordered by King Countyâs Marine Division as replacement vessels for their scheduled water taxi service. All American Marine was awarded the contract and issued the Notice to Proceed for the identical vessels at the start of 2014.
All American Marine to Build Two Seattle Catamaran Ferries
The King County Ferry District, whose ferries link the communities that ring Lake Washington and Puget Sound, has contracted with Bellingham-based All American Marine to design and build two new 'water taxis' to replace its pair of 25 year-old leased vessels. The operators explain that the new vessels will each carry 250 passengers, 78 more than the vessels they will replace. That added capacity means more passengers will be able to use the water taxis during the busiest weekday commute periods.
LA Port Police Contract with All American Marine for Dive and Patrol Catamaran

All American Marine, Inc. (AAM) of Bellingham, Wash. and C & C Technologies, Inc. (C & C) of Lafayette, La. announced the commencement of construction of a new catamaran survey vessel. C & C Technologies recently signed a contract with All American Marine to construct a new 134-ft by 37-ft aluminum catamaran for survey operations in the Gulf of Mexico. All American Marine Delivers the R/V Manta
All American Marine has delivered an 82-ft.Teknicraft research catamaran built under contract for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA).
