Sanmar, CAT Work on Innovative Hybrid Tug

Herman Sr. BV Orders First Damen DP2 Shoalbuster
Dutch marine services provider Herman Sr. BV announced that it has agreed with Damen Shipyards Group to order the first of a newly-developed Damen Shoalbuster type with full DP2 capabilities. This will be the first of a new class within the Shoalbuster series and one of the largest available. The vessel will be built at Damen Shipyards Hardinxveld.35 meters in length, nearly 14 meters wide and with a free deck space of 150m2, the Shoalbuster 3514 will be a substantial working platform.
Caterpillar Propulsion for New LNG Cruise Ships
Caterpillar Marine said its dual fuel engines have been selected for a new generation of cruise ships; tThe company’s MaK 16 M 46 DF dual fuel engines, along with the full LNG supply and handling system, are to be installed on four new ships, two apiece under construction at Meyer Werft’s Papenburg (Germany) and Turku (Finland) shipyards.
