Cavotec MoorMaster Systems Operational at Iroquois Lock in Canada
Cavotec has successfully delivered and commissioned three MoorMaster automated mooring systems at the Iroquois Lock in Ontario, Canada. The systems were officially handed over to the Saint Lawrence Seaway Management Corporation (SLSMC) on June 30, 2025.With this latest installation, Cavotecâs MoorMaster systems support vessel transit at nearly all locks of the St. Lawrence Seaway, with only Lock 8 in the Welland Canal remaining to be equipped in 2026.
Cavotec Signs $8.99 Million Shore Power Order
Cavotec has signed an order valued at USD$8.99 million (EUR 8.1 million) with a leading global container shipping company to deliver complete shore power systems for newly built container vessels. Cavotec Bags $5 Million Shore Power Order
Cavotec announced it has signed an order for shore power with a global shipping company, valued at about $5 million.The order from an undisclosed global shipping company includes a substantial number of PowerFit shore power units, enabling vessels to connect to shore power with ease while docked. Deliveries are scheduled later this year,Cavotec said.Cavotecâs PowerFit is a complete containerized solution for high voltage vessel connections.
Cavotec Awarded $5.7 Million Shore Power Refit Contract
Cavotec reports it has signed a $5.7 million contract to retrofit vessels with shore power solutions for an undisclsoed major European shipping line.The agreement entails the complete retrofit of containerships from installation of Cavotec's cable management system to modifications of the shipâs switchboards. The works will be completed in drydock for some of the vessels and during commercial sailing for the rest.

Cavotec said it has received two major orders for its MoorMaster NxG automated mooring system, one in Sweden â the first order for MoorMaster in a market with considerable growth potential â and the other in neighboring Finland, where the technology is already established.The two multi-unit systems will be installed at either end of a major passenger and vehicle ferry service, at the Port of Kapellskär in Sweden, owned by Port of Stockholm, and the Port of Naantali in Finland.
