BV Grants AIP for GTT's Containership LNG Fuel Tank
French naval engineering firm GTT announced it has obtained approval in principle (AiP) for the NO96 membrane containment system for liquefied natural gas (LNG) fuel tank application for ultra large container vessel (ULCV) from classification society Bureau Veritas (BV).GTT said it worked with BV to review the compatibility and safe integration of the NO96 technology as an LNG fuel tank in a container vessel hull.
GTT Wins Tank Design Orders for Four LNG Carriers
France-based GTT said it has received an order from South Korean shipyards Hyundai Heavy Industries (HHI) and Hyundai Samho Heavy Industries (HSHI) to design the tanks of four newbuild liquefied natural gas (LNG) carriers.Three of the LNG carriers will be built by HHI, two on behalf of an Asian shipowner and one on behalf of a European shipowner. The last LNG carrier will be built by HSHI on behalf of a European shipowner.Each vessel will offer a capacity of 174,000 cubic meters.

GTT Inks Services Deal with Knutsen
France-based GTT said it signed in June a global technical services agreement (TSA) with the Norwegian shipowner Knutsen OAS Shipping AS. This new agreement covers a fleet of 17 vessels by 2022, including 12 currently in service and five under construction, all equipped with Mark III Flex or NO96 technologies, developed by GTT.GTT will support Knutsen with the maintenance and operation of the vessels.
