SSI Launches ShipConstructor 2015 R2.1
SSI has today released ShipConstructor 2015 R2.1 software. The software release comes in response to emerging ship design, engineering and building trends as identified by SSI’s Client Council of industry leaders. The advisors on this software launch were representatives from U.S. and Canadian companies: Genoa Design, Glosten & Associates, Gunderson Marine and Trinity Marine Products. This group has similar production methods and/or design approaches.
SSI Webinar: ShipConstructor PipeLink
SSI will host a free technical webinar intended to introduce end-users to its new product, ShipConstructor PipeLink, on Wednesday, January 21, from 8:30-9:30 a.m. PipeLink allows the piping systems within a ShipConstructor project to be used within other business processes and applications such as ISOGEN integration for Isometrics and pipe bending machine automation. The webinar session will be comprised of a short introduction and live demonstration.

The release of ShipConstructor 2015 CAD/CAM software is a key part of SSI's new plan to increase flexibility, security, convenience and simplicity for its clients in the shipbuilding and offshore markets, the company said. According to SSI, ShipConstructor 2015 contains a significant augmentation that will immediately be of benefit: the addition of several new catalogs.
