First of 3 New Pilot Boats Launched for Milford Haven
St Brides, the first of three 19-meter pilot boats built by Mainstay Marine for the Port of Milford Haven, has recently been launched. Shipbuilder Mainstay Marine Solutions called the £3.6 million contract a flagship project, with delivery for the second and third vessels due in April and July, respectively. A naming ceremony will be held for all three vessels late July this year. The new pilot boats are an upgraded version of the Picton Pilot Boat built by the company in 2006.

Twin Dredgers for Canadian Oil Sands
Damen Shipyards Group has completed a construction contract comprising two electric-powered Cutter Suction Dredgers (CSD) for the Canadian oil sands industry. With both vessels built in Canada, the contract marks the close cooperation between Damen and Aecon, Canada’s largest publicly traded infrastructure development and construction company. Two newly-built Damen CSDs have commenced operations in Northern Alberta, Canada.
Global Marine Takes Majority Stake in CWind
Global Marine Systems Limited has acquired a majority interest in offshore renewables specialist CWind Limited. According to Global Marine, the purchase demonstrates its commitment to the offshore renewable sector and adds a diverse range of construction and O&M services to its current capabilities. CWind has to date supported the construction and operation of more than 26 wind farms in the North Sea, Irish Sea and the Baltic delivering a broad range of construction and O&M services.
