PG-MACS Chosen by Shell and Siem for Newbuild PSV
Siem Offshore and Norske Shell signed a contract for a new dual fueled (LNG/Diesel) large-size platform supply vessel (PSV). Remontowa Shipyard /Poland will construct the vessel as their H/N 856/1.The new PSV shall commence operations in Q1/'15 for operations in the North Sea, to support offshore activities at, among others, the Draugen and Ormen Lange oil and gas fields. The under deck tank configuration shall include systems for handling of drill cuttings, in addition to liquid and dry bulk.

University of Kiel Acquires CORMAC Winch
The MacArtney Group announced the delivery of a CORMAC 4 Stainless Steel Winch system to the Institute of Geosciences at the Christian Albrechts University of Kiel. The winch system, which was acquired through German MacArtney Group member, MBT GmbH, will be put to use aboard various research vessels, hereunder the R/V Alkor, which is operated by the GEOMAR Helmholtz Center for Ocean Research Kiel.

Saluting Guns Ready for Arrival of World’s Navies
The Royal Australian Navy has tested its new Three Pound Saluting Gun Battery at the Garden Island Naval Base, in readiness for October’s International Fleet Review, which commemorates the arrival of Navy’s first fleet in Sydney Harbor in 1913. Commander Australian Fleet, Rear Admiral Tim Barrett, said the guns would next be fired for the official 21-gun salute during the welcome of the Fleet by the Governor-General, Her Excellency the Hon Ms Quentin Bryce.

Jordan initially joined KPI Bridge Oil in 2008 from a position with Global Transportation Services as Area Sales responsible and stayed with the company until end 2011. Now, Mr. Felber has rejoined the New York team as Bunker Broker/Trader.
Obama, Foxx Visit Major U.S. Port
U.S. President Barack Obama visited MOL’s TraPac Jacksonville terminal with U.S. Transportation Secretary Anthony Foxx on July 25 as a part of his economic tour. President Obama and Secretary Foxx were met by TraPac General Manager Dennis Kelly, JAXPORT interim CEO Roy Schleicher and ILA representative Fred Wakefield, who escorted and briefed them during the visit. Following the visit, President Obama also delivered a speech in which he discussed the importance of port investment.
Offshore Wind Sees New Capital Investments
With the support of technical due diligence advice from GL Garrad Hassan, Sumitomo Corporation and its subsidiary Sumitomo Corporation Europe last week agreed to invest significant amount of equity in two Belgian offshore projects. The Belwind 1 operational wind farm and Northwind project together account for 127 wind turbines and 381 MW of generating capacity with total project cost of about €1,550 million.
