Carl Stephen Patrick Hunter Joins Board of Trustees at RINA

Coltraco Ultrasonics Chief Executive, Carl Stephen Patrick Hunter, has been welcomed onto the Board of Trustees at The Royal Institution of Naval Architects (RINA), an internationally renowned professional institute at the heart of surface and sub-surface ship design.Formed in 1860 and established by Royal Warrant RINA occupies a central and essential role at the heart of British and global maritime with 70% overseas members and Consultative Status at the International Maritime Organisation.Commenting on the appointment, RINA Chief Executive, Trevor Blakeley says, “The Royal Institution of Naval Architects is very pleased to welcome Carl Stephen Patrick Hunter as a member of its Board of Trustees.

The Society of Maritime Industries and Tribon Solutions in Co-operation regarding Tribon.com

The Society of Maritime Industries, the umbrella organization of equipment and services in all areas of the maritime industry in United Kingdom and Tribon Solutions announced a co-operation agreement. The co-operation will provide the members of the Society of Maritime Solutions with a framework of activities to further strengthen their communication with and presence at shipyards worldwide by participating in Tribon.com. Tribon.com is an Internet based service for the shipbuilding industry linking together shipyards, maritime equipment suppliers and ship owners in a comprehensive global network. Tribon.com centers around a database of shipbuilding components and equipment.

Marintec China’s Proves To Be a Success

Marintec China, which took place in Shanghai from December 4 to 7 2001, has proven that the show is the definitive maritime event not only in China, but also in the Asia Pacific region for the maritime industry. Figures say it all: 13,000 sq. miles of gross exhibition area, 778 participating companies from 31 countries and regions, 14 national pavilions and 22,865 unique visitors out of which 1,608 are international visitors coming from outside China. Marintec China 2001 was the largest and the most successful show ever held in its history since inception in 1981. For the first time at Marintec China 2001, all visitors were requested to register prior to admission. This was to ensure that only qualified trade visitors were allowed in and the unique number of visitors could be recorded.
